Just before 1790, the Harris Apothecary Shop was founded on St. James Street in London. Since that time, this family business has served the gentry of London as well as the Court of St. James.

In 1938, the Harris Apothecary Shop was granted the Royal Warrant as chemists to Her Majesty the Queen, the late Queen Mother Elizabeth. And in 2002, that same honor was extended to D.R. Harris & Co., currently serving as chemists to her grandson, Charles, the Prince of Whales.

Since its inception, the Harris Apothecary Shop – now known as D.R. Harris & Co. – has claimed as its customers not just the royal family, but ambassadors and statesmen, field marshals and admirals, rakes and dandies, and any of the rest of us who appreciate quality and distinction.
